Reselling Grammy Awards is reportedly banned, however some have fetched significant profits at auction. Johnny Cash’s 1986 Grammy for best spoken word or nonmusical recording, which he was awarded alongside Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison for the album “Class of ’55: Memphis Rock & Roll Homecoming,” was sold by Sotheby’s for $187,200.
